Discover the great writer through the
Aronnax route, which allows you to discover three emblematic monuments of the city of Amiens.
Jules Verne’s house
A true place of remembrance, it houses many testimonies of his life and work, « a mixture between the imagination and the daily life of
the famous writer ».
Jules Verne’s Circus
Jules Verne decided to build a circus in the city, an art that fascinated him and that can be found in two of his novels : Mathias Sandorf & César Cascabel.
The building has been named after the writer since 2002. Like the Cirque d’Hiver de Paris, this building remains one of the few brick-and-mortar circuses still visible in France.
Jules Verne’s grave
The writer’s final resting place is located 1 km from the campsite, in the Madeleine cemetery, a remarkable place that brings together the graves of many Amiens personalities.
